Wild Planet's Crayola Crayon Town combines drawing and coloring with construction and imaginative play. Children can color the props, buildings, and even the play mats. The pre-cut artwork panels can also be colored and folded in such a way to make archways and buildings. Children will have a blast creating their own world.

They have the challenge to assemble and build the setting doing whatever their imagination tells them. They can use the crayons to make their own wacky animals, vehicles, and structures. Once the town has been constructed, they can start playing and just go wherever their imagination takes them.

There are five different versions: Zoo Set , My House, Construction Set, Horse Ranch , and Airport. Each can be played with individually or combined to make a town.

Children will have hours of fun with the pop-up structures. They can also spend time coloring the background, building the props, and setting up the characters that they will use in Crayola Crayon Town. The play set comes with a 22 X 17 inch play mat, figures, vehicles, pop up buildings, accessories and 4 Crayola crayons. The crayons are regular Crayola crayons. For example the large zoo set comes with 1 Zookeeper, 1 Monkey, 1 Giraffe, 1 Alligator, 1 Lion, 1 Polar Bear, 1 All-Terrain Vehicle, 1 Gateway, 1 Tree, 1 Wagon, 1 Fold & Build Polar Cave, 1 Fold & Build Lion Cave, 1 Fold & Build Monkey Tree, 2 Coloring Mats, 22" x 17", 8 Crayons.

In a nutshell, Crayola Crayon Town combines 3D play and coloring. The animals, buildings, and figures change as the children color them. The old or broken crayons can be used to make trees and vehicles. For example the My House set uses a crayon as the body of a dog. The front head and two front feet are a plastic module that has an opening for the crayon. The other end of the crayon is inserted into the module for the back feet and tail. The uncolored version of the play mat can be downloaded at no charge online. That means more fun for no more money and added creativity.

The provided plastic parts in Crayola Crayon Town, such as the airplane for the airport set, are very durable. The only improvement to the sets would be to include additional crayons with the set rather than only four for the smaller set and eight with the larger set. However since most children already have a box or two of crayons at home so it's not really a problem.
